To provide a fun interactive event promoting the natural beauty of the Fox River and Chain O' Lakes water system while incorporating healthy lifestyle choices through an activity everyone can enjoy; KAYAKING!
This 4.8-mile kayak event will be held August 17, 2024 in the heart of downtown McHenry with the support of many volunteers. The event is from 8 AM to 10 AM with registration beginning at 6:30 AM. This is a rain or shine event! The goal of this challenge is to provide a fun event that will raise awareness and funds for Kids In Need McHenry County (KIN) KIN is a not-for-profit organization created to identify and provide kids in need the important resources necessary for a happy and healthy childhood. www.kinmc.org
This challenge will start at Port O' Blarney in Antioch. With the help of seasoned volunteers, you will be guided through just over 3.5 miles of wildlife and natural scenery in the back channels and around Crabapple Island. All proceeds will go to support Lake County Honor Flight, a non-profit that allows veterans to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.

There are a limited number of boats available so please reserve in a timely fashion. Reservations must be made through portal.
Parking at Miller Point Park is limited so please drop your Kayak at Miller Point then park your vehicle. You can park at any of the public lots. We have also arranged parking at McHenry East Campus High School which is just a short walk from Miller point.
